Sir,

I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the

Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of the

Secretary of State, that their Lordships note the contents

of your letter dated the 18th April 1898 No.8391/98

relative to the acquisition of Mr Sharp's property at

Hong Kong in connection with the scheme for extending the

Dockyard, and that they concur in the costs referred to in

the last paragraph of the letter being borne by the

Admiralty.
